Hale Bop Leech

The Hale Bop Leech is a leech pattern that uses angora dubbing that is picked out.  It can be tied full, or it can be tied sparse.  I prefer the latter.  It makes a great lake fly, but it also makes a great swing fly.  For a leech, the Hale Bop is tied on a smaller hook (size 10 or 12).  I like tying it on a Partridge Klinkhamer hook.  I think the wider gape hooksets better than standard gapes.
